Development of Training Resources

There are any number of ways that the Insight team can work with an organization to provide a superior strategy and resources to meet their educational objectives. One such approach is for Insight to prepare training materials (including videos, lecture notes and/or assessments) that can be used by the organization or a third party.

A standard approach for providing these resources would consist of the following:

  • The project naturally starts with both parties signing a contract stating the scope of the project and the budget.

  • The Insight team has an initial meeting with the client to further clarify any details not captured in the initial contract. This could include the scope for the project, the characteristics of the students, the learning objectives (and where they fit with the larger goals of the organization), and the proposed format for the resources (such as videos and written documents). During this initial meeting we could also discuss whether the client seeks training that will be accredited (producing Qualifications or Statements of Achievement for the students), or training that is more specialized to suit their educational objectives. We could further discuss whether this training will use material already available to Insight, or whether the Insight team will develop new material that is tailored to the client’s specific needs.

  • Insight will develop a further proposal including a more detailed syllabus, and any accreditation that the students will receive on completing the training. This proposal will be discussed with the client until the proposal is accepted.

  • Insight will develop the training materials required. This will be discussed with the client at significant milestones to ensure that these materials suit the client’s needs.

It is also important to note that Insight has had a long-term collaboration with an audiovisual company that works in the full range of sound, lighting, and camerawork services. Insight actively works in presenting webinars and online training, and so has significant experience in presenting training through the camera.

Insight is passionate about providing training to our students, where we don’t just prepare training resources but we also provide training on how to prepare training resources. See here for further details about our training in training and education, and in workplace communication.
