Insight Training College is a major Division of Insight Research Services Associated. Insight provides training, consulting and research services at both national and international levels. Our primary focus is on the application of business, data science and information technology to the full range of industry sectors.

Unlike many training providers our staff actively work in the areas covered by our training programs. We are involved in large consulting and research projects with colleagues across Australia and overseas. We then incorporate that learning into our training presentations.

Insight Research Services Associated consists of:

• Insight Training College - provides training through a Registered Training Organization

• Insight Clinical Trial Design & Analysis - study design and data analysis for clinical trials

• Insight Social Research & Statistics - study design, data collection and data analysis for social research

• Insights in Engineering Data - study design, data analysis, and mathematical modelling for science and engineering

• Insight Business Management, Analytics & Market Research - business management, study design, data collection and data analysis for business and market research

• Insight Business & Research Technologies - provides IT and tech support

• Insight Event Technologies - provides project management, audiovisual, and IT support for business and recreational events

Our History

Insight was established by Dr Mark Griffin in 2011 after a number of years working in academic centres across Australia, USA, Canada and Switzerland. He began his studies in 1991, and today holds five university degrees and has provided training and consulting services for 20 years. Mark and Insight have over 30 years of experience working with universities, and recruit highly talented staff and students from across academic sectors, predominantly the University of Queensland.

Our Training

Insight provides training at three key levels

• We provide training that is accredited by a Registered Training Organization. We do this under a third-party arrangement with Asset College (RTO# 31718). Details of our relationship with Asset are given below.

• We provide higher level workshops in business, data science and information technology. The content of these workshops is more advanced and specialised than the training that can be accredited as a Registered Training Organization.

• We provide free webinars for the international community in the area of business analytics.

Our Consulting

Mark has over 20 years of experience providing consulting services to staff in academia, government and industry across Australia and overseas. Some of the datasets that we work on are from surveys of up to 100,000 participants. The results from our work are used to inform future policies and business decisions made by these varied stakeholders. Lessons learnt from these consulting projects are shared within our various training programs.

Our Research

Mark has over 30 years of experience working in research in the university setting. As such Mark and the Insight team do not just use well-established techniques that have been published in various literature. We also actively work on the cutting edge of new methodologies that are at the earliest stages of development. Lessons learnt from this state-of-the-art are incorporated into our training.

Our Relationship with Asset College

The Insight team is proud to be working with Asset College (RTO# 31718). Asset were initially registered as an RTO in 2008, and since then have issued over 30,000 qualifications.

Insight and Asset work together to deliver RTO training in the following manner:

• Insight has signed a contract with Asset to deliver training under their umbrella.

• All training materials are sourced from a variety of places (from Asset, from Insight, or from a third party), and are approved by Asset prior to use.

• The Insight team delivers training and assessment to our students.

• Successful students are awarded Qualifications or Statements of Attainment by Asset.
